Glen Barratt a Key Ingredient at Felton Food Festival 2016

Felton Food Festival is excited to announce that we’re dishing up celebrity chef Glen Barratt for the 2016 event! With over 20 years of experience throughout Queensland including some of Brisbane’s most iconic restaurants such as Restaurant II, Glen is now head chef of Brookfield Garden Centre’s ‘Wild Canary’.

Gaining a strong following with its local produce ethos, Wild Canary features a seasonal menu that is reflective of what is growing in the garden centre including fresh herbs and edible flowers, as well as vegetables from surrounding farms.

Throughout his career Glen has always been passionate about fresh locally grown ingredients, with a keen interest in companion planting and organic techniques from an early age.

A big fan of farmer’s markets and permaculture, Glen currently lives in the Samford Valley with his wife and five children and their ever-growing organic garden. Glen is also a regular on 612 ABC radio with Sunday lunch creations inspired by his own produce.

We look forward to showing Glen all that the Felton Valley has to offer and getting him involved in our activities and cooking demonstrations at the upcoming Felton Food Festival, 10th of April 2016.
