The countdown is on to the Felton Food Festival, with less than one month to go until the big day. We are getting very excited about everything that is planned for the day – it will truly be the biggest and best Festival to date! Here are 10 things to get excited about (in no particular order), so add them to your ‘must do’ Festival list.
George will be making a number of appearances throughout the day, using stories, songs and games to teach children about farming practices, how our food is produced, and how it gets to our plate. There will also be a special new song launched at the festival to celebrate the International Year of Pulses
9. Mac Foods launch of Non GMO gluten free flours
The Festival will be Mac Foods first major event selling its non GMO gluten free flours to the public, along with some delicious tarts and brownies. Flours available include sorghum, chickpea and maize.
8. Felton Farm Fossick for kids
The kids will love the Felton Farm Fossick with Rabobank, where they have to fossick around the Festival site, talk to farmers and listen to George in order to answer six questions from their fossick booklet. Not only is this a fun activity to keep the children busy during the day, but they will also learn a lot about farming animals, soils and crops.

See butchers from the region do what they do best as they showcase their products across a range of categories.
6. The raffle wheel
Try your luck on the newly reconstructed ‘World’s Biggest Chocolate Wheel’, which will be making its debut at the Felton Food Festival. Made from recycled farm materials and including features such as a bubble blower, steam whistle, sound effects and smoke machines, the spectacular raffle wheel will be spinning up some great prizes including accommodation packages, vouchers, memorabilia and more.
Costa Georgiadis is a huge supporter of the Felton Food Festival and a popular crowd favourite every year. Costa will be interviewing farmers in the Felton Produce Q&A tent, taking part in the celebrity cooking challenge, meeting the kids and having photos in the Children’s Marquee and roaming around the Festival throughout the chat to all the visitors.
4. Pulse Panel in the Q&A tent
To celebrate International Year of Pulses, we have a Pulse Panel lined up for the Q&A tent. Come and hear from a local grower, an agronomist, a processor and a dietitian in and interactive session to showcase the importance of these special legumes.
Glen Barratt will be joining Matt Golinski and Alison Alexander in the Main Marquee for a day of cooking demonstrations and challenges. See the chefs whip one some delicious creations using local produce and a variety of other fresh and tasty ingredients.
2. Live music
Enjoy the ambience and atmosphere of the live music tent - the place to go to sit down and relax while listening to the sounds of some amazing talent. From French, Italian, Celtic and Latin, to Gypsy, rock, jazz, blues and grunge, there will be music to delight every fan.

Meander through the market stalls and discover some true delights from more than 80 exhibitors. The stalls will feature everything from food and beverages to craft and locally made creations. A delight for all the senses.
